Overview

As a Business Development Manager for the STM Group Plc (the Group), you will be responsible for:
? Collaborating with the Group Head of Business Development, to maximise revenues through the proactive identification and conversion of new business sales opportunities, for the Groups UK and international products and propositions
? Playing an integral role as part of the broader Business Development team, achieving year-on-year growth
? Actively promoting the Groups products, propositions, and services through appropriate intermediated channels such as, UK financial and investment adviser firms
? Building and maintaining an effective network of professional financial and investment advisers within the intermediated channel community.

Summary of Key Responsibilities: ? Collaborating with the Group Head of Business Development to develop and execute the Groups commercial strategy across all product lines to achieve continuous new business and revenue growth ? Maximise business... opportunities to achieve agreed growth targets by developing and maintaining relationships with key business partners and third parties ? Identify, evaluate, and prioritise potential market opportunities by size, business opportunity, and return on investment. ? Develop and maintain a proactive network of key intermediary business partners ? Build and promote strong, sustainable intermediary relationships by partnering with key business partners and understanding their needs ? Proactively develop a sales pipeline/funnel to support future revenue growth ? Achieve growth and hit agreed sales targets by successfully managing the end-to-end sales process ? Present sales, revenue, & expenses reports along with realistic forecasts to the Group Head of Business Development ? Complete weekly and monthly reports for the Group Head of Business Development outlining your activity, priorities, plans and business progress against agreed sales & revenue targets ? Ensure the chosen sales tracking and customer relationship management (CRM) platform is complete and up-to-date ? Ensure all new written business adheres to the Groups compliance processes and procedures ? Develop collaborative working relationships within the organisation in pursuit of the of the Groups overall business goals ? Maintain proactive relations with subsidiary Managing Directors and key STM Group Plc stakeholders ? Liaise with the Marketing function to ensure that relevant product literature and collateral is up-to-date and supportive of the sales process.

Summary of Personal Skills & Competencies:
? Experienced business development professional with a proven history of working in the financial services industry in the UK, international markets, and/or both
? Demonstrated history of success in a financial services role
? Excellent influencing, decision making, and negotiation skills
? Good understanding of the life, pension, and broader retirement markets
? Excellent interpersonal and communication skills at all levels
? Demonstrable experience of following a structured sales process(es)
? Proactive relationship and account management skills.

Desired Experience & Expertise
? Demonstrable technical experience in the life, pensions, and/or retirement arena(s)
? Strong network of intermediary contacts
? Proven track record of delivering new business growth
? Experience translating the principles of Consumer Duty and Treating Customers Fairly into a business development role
