About the School of Nursing: The Azusa Pacific College of Nursing and Health Sciences encompasses a full spectrum of undergraduate and graduate programs that prepare nursing scholars for a lifetime of intellectual inquiry. The school offers bachelor's, master's, doctoral degrees, and post-masters credentials. Within each degree are personalized programs such as BSN, LVN to BSN, RN to BSN, Entry-level Master's (ELM), Master of Science in Nursing, Doctor of Nursing Practice, and PhD in Nursing. Description: The School of Nursing invites applications for a full-time faculty position working in the Division of Graduate Programs. The division offers the following programs: MSN (including a variety of nurse practitioner and clinical nurse specialist tracks), post-MSN certificates, Doctorate of Nursing Practice, and Ph.D. in Nursing. Successful candidates will offer the following: • A commitment to excellence in teaching, clinical practice, and research. • Awareness of healthcare dynamics and changing nursing roles. • Active engagement in curriculum and program development. • Desire and ability to maintain an active research program. • Enthusiastic advising /mentoring of students in coursework, research, and professional practice. • Participate in program review and accreditation reporting. • Participate in faculty governance. • Maintain clinical specialization. • Generate creative ways of teaching and supporting learners. • Skilled in utilizing a variety of teaching methods. • Model a passion for learning and excellence in the classroom and clinical settings. • Assist students in achieving competence in practice. Specialization: • Clinical Specialization in Advanced Practice, Board Certified. Responsibilities: • Support faculty work within the division and its associated programs. • Applicants will have evidence of high-quality teaching and show potential for active research. • Integrates a Christian worldview into the disciplines of nursing and teaching. • Adheres to the expectations delineated in the University Faculty Handbook. • May be needed to work at alternative Regional Campuses or Sites. Level: • Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor, or Instructor. Qualifications: • A doctorate from an accredited university in Nursing or a closely related discipline is preferred. • Active California Registered Nurse license and Nurse Practitioner certification, or eligible to acquire. Experience: • Candidates require professional expertise and experience commensurate with specific position requirements. Workload: Full-time Hire Date: Open until filled. Mental Demands: • Ability to integrate Christian values in all aspects. • Ability to engage in critical thinking and exercise independent judgment. • Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage confidential information. • Ability to collaborate with other faculty and staff and maintain collegial relations. • Self-starter, ability to communicate effectively in written and oral form. Compensation: • $70,304 to $125,460 is the annual salary for this role and reflects what Azusa Pacific University reasonably expects to pay for this position. Actual compensation may vary based on the qualifications, experience, and internal equity. In addition to compensation, APU offers a competitive benefits package. • Compensation will be based on experience, rank, and qualifications.
