This is an entry-level, remote contract position where you will be responsible for creating accurate and perfectly synchronized subtitles for a wide array of our content. No prior experience in subtitling is required; we provide comprehensive training to equip you with all the skills needed to excel in this role. Key Responsibilities • Transcribe dialogue and audio into written text accurately. • Create time codes for subtitles, ensuring precise synchronization with on-screen action and speech. • Review and edit subtitles for grammatical correctness, spelling, punctuation, and style. • Adhere to Netflix's specific subtitling guidelines and quality standards. • Manage your workload efficiently to meet project deadlines. • Communicate effectively with project managers regarding any challenges or questions. Required Skills • Exceptional fluency in English with excellent grammar, spelling, and punctuation. • Strong attention to detail and ability to spot nuances in language and timing. • Basic computer proficiency and comfort with online tools and software. • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment. • Reliable internet connection and a suitable home workspace. • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new software and workflows. Preferred Qualifications • Familiarity with various film and television genres. • Previous experience with content creation or text editing (even if informal). • Knowledge of additional languages is a plus, though not required for this role. • A genuine passion for movies and TV shows.
